LocationMy name is Chris and I live in a suburb called Woronora Heights located about 29 km south of Sydney, Australia.

I retired in April of 2014 after a career spanning more than 42 years, working in Information and Communications Technology as a technical officer and communications consultant from 1972 to 1993, and later as a software developer specializing in relational database management system and client-server application development.

I obtained an Amateur Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency in November 1978 and I have continuously held an Amateur Advanced License since then in order to operate an Amateur Radio station using the callsign VK2BYI.

My main areas of interest are in digital modes such as JT65/9, PSK31 and RTTY.  I mainly operate on the 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m, 2m and 70cm bands.

Please take the time to explore this site and any comments or feedback you may wish to provide would be very much appreciated.
